This is Shazana here and this post is for the Year 3 students.

Okay so you guys know that this week we'll be having out lesson outdoors, right? Here are some details.

Meeting Point: McDonalds' at Downtown East.
Time: 7.45am (don't be late!)
Bring food cause it's potluck!
Dress confortably - we may be playing some games. ;)

Okay I think that's pretty much what I can say for now. Believe me, I don't know what out trainers are up to. Haha. Ustaz Amin should send you guys a text soon enough. If there's no news by Thursday, you'd better send an SMS to either trainers. Or me if you prefer.

How do you like the new look?
In case you are wondering, there is such a thing as giving away free rice.
As we all know, there are people out there living in poverty and they need help.

You can contribute!
Simply by visiting www.FreeRice.com. Each time you answer a vocabulary question correctly, the website donates 10 grains of rice to the poor. A bonus for you is it improves your vocabulary. So, why not?

I'd also like to remind everyone that there is no lessons this week. Instead, there will be a parent-meeting session. So come down within your curriculum time with your parents, ok? For example, if your class is held on a Saturday morning, 8 - 11am, your session is on this Saturday, 8 - 11am.

Anyway, do you guys remember about the Underwater World camp? Well, we're finally going this June holidays! It's on a weekend, 13 - 14 June (2D1N). Are you guys up for it?

Choosing one that’s too heavy for you can be dangerous! ;)

When it’s your friend’s turn, you don’t just sit down and watch. You cheer them on as well! Give them the encouragement that they need. Or compliment them when they’ve done well. Mesti nak ada sportsmanship!

I'm so proud of myself! Because I have just changed the blogskin of our blog and it contains 80% of my effort! Yaaaayyy :D :D :D

The 20% belongs to blogskins.com. I took one from there and edit a lot till it looks like I made it with my bare hands. But actually I just took the format.

However, this is just a temporary skin. (Awww) I'm hoping we can have a skin with our pictures on it. Lagi original, right? :D

I heard some people are planning an outing? WOHHO can't wait!

Assalamualaikum! It's been quite a while since the last post to this blog.
Let's spice things up with some pictures!

Here are some pictures taken during our weekly classes. It will give you an idea of what goes on and how we learn.

This was two years ago when we first started out. Look at us. How cute we were.. Heehee.

We had a lot of group-work and open discussions..

This is for the Sunday Year-2's (2008).

Ready for some ice-skating adventure? :D If you haven't received the SMS from me, here are the info.

Meeting Point: Tampines MRT Station @ 11am on 18 December 2008, Thursday.

What to bring:
Gloves If you don't own them, you can buy a pair for $2 there. It's compulsary to wear them.
Sweater. Or wear thick clothing. It's better to wear comfortable bottoms.
Ez-Link card. To get the student discount.
Enough money. Total cost is $16.60 inclusive of skates' rental cost. This doesn't include the cost for gloves.

Time for another update.

Hope you guys did well for your exams! And for those who are still having exams, don't stress yourself so much okay. Study smart!

Here are some announcements;

1. There's going to be another parent-teacher meet on Sunday, 16 November 2008, from 9am - 11am. Do come along with your parents. I'm sure the trainers would LOVE to meet the ones who've been bringing you up. Do note that there will not be any classes conducted on that day.

2. The term is coming to end end! D: The centre will be closed from Saturday 22 November 2008 to 27 December 2008. Classes will resume on Saturday, 3 January 2009 and Sunday, 4 January 2009 respectively. [In other words, there are only 2 sessions left! :O] You will receive a letter by post regarding your classes next year. So be sure that you've submitted your (re)registration forms!

& I would like to encourage you guys to send in pictures, videos, interesting information, etc. Anything you'd like to share! Remember, this blog belongs to every single one of us!

Oh yeah, have you heard about the UnderWaterWorld trip? It's going to be AWESOME!

The lesson certainly went well. Besides celebrating Eid, we did continue with lessons. :D

At about 10am, a cameraman came into our class and took some shots! Omg we're gonna be on TV!! Tune in to Detik on Suria this Wednesday at 10.30PM!

Sister Rafiqah is actually a relative from KL of some of our sisters and brother. We were glad you could join us in celebrating Eid and we hope you enjoyed yourself. Have a safe journey home. Don't forget us and don't be shy if you want to come back! Heeheeeeee.

Assalamualaikum!

Ramadhan is coming to an end now. Hope everyone has spent this month wisely and accumulated a lot of merits.

There are some announcements for The Sunday Year 2 students, especially those who missed the most recent class.

1. All students are required to be in your 'Eid outfits when class resumes on 12 October. There will be prizes for the best dressed Muslimin and Muslimah! Don't forget to bring some kuih raya because we're going to have a small celebration in class.

2. Please remember to return your re-registation form. Hope to see you guys again next year! You can return the forms and make payment at the main office during office hours.

3. We will be going for Hari Raya visiting on 18 & 25th October. Contact Ashiqin for further details.

4. There are many of us who are interested in doing volunteer work @Ghufran. You can contact either Shaikh or Shazana, anytime, anyday. Don't be shy!

5. Since the exam period's round the corner, perhaps you'd like to have a study group. U Ahmad is willing to open up one of the classrooms for us to use. Just give him a beep or ring if you're interested.

6. Beginning in the next lesson, late comers will have to pay a fine at the rate of $0.10/min. That means you'll have to pay $1 for every 10 minutes you're late! Imagine coming in at 9am; you'll have to pay $6! :O Hidayat will be in charge of this.

7. We will soon have a twist to our weekly lessons. 2 students will take over our 2 charming ustazs for about 20 minutes. Details will be given on the next lesson, InsyaAllah. You can also contact the IC, Syahmi to know more.

8. We now have some committee members: Filzah & Diyana are our class secrtaries & Hidayat is out treasurer. A huge responsibility they have! But of course they're chosen because they are reliable and trusted. (;

That's it for today. Yes, there are more activities planned but let it be a surprise. Just make sure you're free during the upcoming end-year holidays! ;D

Kudos to Sister Ashikin for creating this blog for us all. I've created one last year but I forgot the password AND the url! It's my fault, really. I should have been more active with it. But now that there's this new blog, it's time to correct my mistakes. Insya-Allah, this blog will be filled with many colourful and interesting things for everyone, especially our Teens Alive students. We will try to update you on any upcoming events so you won't be missed out. ;) Insya-Allah.
